As a clinical psychologist with a private practice in Bozeman, Hillary brings experience working with adolescent development, particularly issues related to adolescent mental health and maladjustment. She has pursued these interests throughout her career. While earning her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Virginia, Hillary worked with a community-based mentoring program matching at-risk middle schoolers with undergraduate student mentors. She also co-authored several studies on the protective qualities of adult support figures for adolescent victims of bullying and cyberbullying. Her clinical background includes work in university counseling centers, high schools, and community mental health clinics. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship in eating disorder assessment and treatment at New York University. An avid skier and hiker, Hillary shares BYEP's mission of connecting young people to the outdoors.
