Staying Connected & Courageous
Thank you to all our mentors for helping programs run so AMAZINGLY during our first week of in-person programming this summer! You all never fail to show up, support, create & explore alongside BYEP’s participants- no matter the platform.
It can be a challenge to move through the world without being able to predict the future. This challenge can manifest in many ways- anxiety, shame, fear, etc. We have really been feeling this within the world, our community, our program, and ourselves. Wanting to know what the future holds is simply something of human nature. This can be odd, because we tend to consistently do this, regardless of always receiving the same result- it’s impossible to control or predict.
Over the past months, we have witnessed the BYEP mentor team lean into the unknown as we continue to navigate the ebbs & flows of offering the best programming we can to our community. You all have truly encompassed the phrase of “Going with the Flow”. We greatly appreciate all the patience and the never-ending flexibility you all have presented while mentoring at BYEP. We also recognize that this practice is not only hard, but it is COURAGEOUS! This courage as not gone unseen.
Here are some Highlights!
Dear BYEP Mentors,
First off, hello! As COVID has unfolded, I've missed having you in person at the BYEP office. I am so excited to start hosting in-person programs again. When you come, pop on in to say hi. I'd love to see you!
Also, I'm sure many of you have read about the Bob Marshall Helicopter Incident in the news. Despite the challenge this situation poses, BYEP is trying our best to act according to our values and make thoughtful decisions. Please call me directly at (406)-209-3204 if you would like to talk with me more about this situation. We value you so much and want to make sure you have a chance to hear where the organization stands if you are interested.Thank you for your courage, compassion, and consideration. We value you so much.
Sincerely,
Robin Hill
