BYEP Update: Back in person

Finding Our Rhythm…

BYEP had a great start to running programs back in person last week! Thank you to all the families that have been so flexible and patient as we have been understanding what our new BYEP normal looks like. At BYEP, we can always count on our participants and their families to show up and support our BYEP community.

With that said, last week was AMAZING! There was an unavoidable buzz of excitement around the building all week as we were reminded how much we all missed and needed the vibrant energy that our youth brings to our program. Participants were able to engage in a tour of the new BYEP building, adventure, catch up, and reflect. Needless to say, we are so happy to be finding our rhythm as summer programming continues!

What have groups been up to?

Approach spent the week adventuring in our Bozeman backyard and focused on Growth in Transition. Groups were able to connect, share, and process with each other and within the natural world around them.

Crux spent last week adventuring up in Hyalite and this week exploring Power through Community by engaging in service projects with Gallatin Valley Land Trust (GVLT). GVLT connects people to the landscapes that surround us through the conservation of open spaces and the creation of trail systems.

Ascent spent their workshop connecting and exploring how to cultivate positive relationships as they transition into a new phase of their lives- Adulthood.

Here are some highlights from the past couple of weeks…

Dear BYEP Families,

First off, hello! As COVID has unfolded, I've missed having you in person at the BYEP office. I am so excited to start hosting in-person programs again. When you come, pop on in to say hi. I'd love to see you!

Also, I'm sure many of you have read about the Bob Marshall Helicopter Incident in the news. Despite the challenge this situation poses, BYEP is trying our best to act according to our values and make thoughtful decisions. Please call me directly at (406)-209-3204 if you would like to talk with me more about this situation. We value you so much and want to make sure you have a chance to hear where the organization stands if you are interested.Thank you for your courage, compassion, and consideration. We value you so much.

Sincerely,

Robin Hill
