Being a teenager is hard.
Many of the teens we serve at BYEP are dealing with instability at home and school, or are facing other issues such as debilitating anxiety, depression, negative body image, depression, and suicidal ideation.
BYEP is designed to help 7th-12th graders navigate the difficulties of teenage life. Connection, community, and a sense of belonging are the most powerful factors in preventing suicide and promoting mental health. Combined with the healing power of nature we provide a transformational container for growth — for any teen.
360 hours of programming per year.
BYEP provides a program where youth are grouped with peers, mentors, and Program Managers for weekend adventures and weekday workshops. Outdoor adventures build confidence as we explore Montana's outdoors, and include skiing, snowboarding, hiking, rock climbing, white water rafting, gardening, and more.
In weekday evening workshops our curriculum focuses on building healthy relationships, independent decision making, and interpersonal skills. Our goal is to equip youth with skills to make educated decisions towards an empowered and independent future. Learn more about what we do.
