Support & Mental Health in our Community
We are so lucky…
We are lucky to live in such a magical & wild place- Bozeman, MT. It is evident that a common factor that has brought us all to be a part of BYEP, is our love for the outdoors. It’s assumed that many of us practice and maintain our mental health via an outdoor outlet. The outdoors is a beautiful reminder of the world outside ourselves. It offers a greater perspective and it’s unique we have such vast access to wilderness located in our backyards.
It is also a good reminder, that our Bozeman community provides resources for mental health beyond its natural world. As adults in the BYEP community, we can often forget that it’s important to not only help the participants access resources but to ourselves as well. It is important to take care of your own mental health and BYEP wants to support you all to be healthy & happy as you continue to thrive in your mentor role!
Here are a couple ideas:
Thrive is an online program for people who want to take charge of their emotional well-being to lead happier, more satisfying lives. It teaches skills from cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) a method that has been demonstrated to help many people deal with stress, depression and anxiety symptoms.
In Thrive, you will learn CBT skills that may help you communicate more confidently, think more constructively, and do more activities that make you feel good. Through videos and tailored feedback, you may gain insight into how you're doing now and track your gains as you make progress. Thrive offers a customized experience that responds to how well you are doing and where you have room for improvement. Thrive can be accessed with an internet browser or mobile app.
