We are almost halfway into our Winter season and we are having a blast! At Big Sky, we’ve been enjoying our outdoor tailgate setup for COVID-friendly lunching and watching our participants be so committed to growth on the hill in their lessons and during free-ski time with their groups. In workshops, Traverse participants are learning what it means to be in a group and in BYEP, Approach participants are working on communication and goal setting, and Crux participants are planning for the future!

COVID-19 Reminder:

Please communicate with your participant’s Program Manager if they have been exposed to COVID and are under quarantine. BYEP policy states that participants should not come to BYEP if they have any COVID symptoms and are encouraged to get a test before returning to BYEP, if a participant has been exposed, we ask that they stay home from BYEP for at least 10 days with no symptoms or a negative test result, if a participant has tested positive, we ask that they stay home for 10 days with 24 hours symptom-free. Winter 2021 Tutoring Program Announcement:

We are excited to start offering tutoring this week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-7 at BYEP. Our tutoring program offers participants a safe and quiet place to work on homework and have access to 2 of our volunteer mentors who are excited to offer homework help. Participants will have access to our internet, Chromebooks, and snacks during tutoring, and they can get a ride from school and back to one of our drop-off locations after tutoring. Participants with a phone will get a text on Mondays and Wednesdays asking them if they want to sign up for Tutoring the following day, if your participant doesn’t have a phone, you as the parent/guardian are welcome to sign up for the texts or communicate in another way with your participant’s Program Manager.
